      Research misconduct creates a risk to most research projects - defining falsification, fabrication and plagiarism is often required in each context. Research work is also influenced greatly by power structures. In this section two powerful relationships are explored, the one with your supervisor and the other with your funding sources.

      Key learning outcomes for this section are:

        1. Recognise the main RCR guidelines for conducting research and activities that violate RCR
        2. Identify rights and responsibilities as a researcher particularly towards the research community and funding bodies.
        3. Understand how ethical decisions and choices influence society and research community
