Open Data - Making it FAIR

FAIR is an acronym for data being 

  • Findable 
  • Accessible 
  • Inter-operable and 
  • Re-useable 

These are all essential elements in making data truly open. This lesson looks into what these aspects mean in practise and allow you to consider your own data and how to increase the opportunities for making it open.

  • Know how to create Persistant IDentifiers (PIDs) 
  • Have knowledge how to start developing metadata 
  • Have awareness of how to licence research data for re-use
