    Topic outline

    • Welcome!
    • A. Open Science
    • B. Open Access
    • C. Open Data
    • D. Open Research Process
    • Introduction
    • A1. Why Open Science
    • A2. What is Open Science?
    • A3. Challenges with Open Science
    • This first section of the course sets out
      - what Open Science is (the concept is not simple or well defined!),
      - why academics and decision-makers are increasingly getting behind the idea and lastly,
      - nothing is completely simple and easy, so there is a lesson on the unavoidable challenges on the road to more open science.

After completing this section you should have an idea of Open Science could mean to your own research project and why you may wish to embrace at least some elements of Open Science in your own research work and how to prepare for some of the challenges ahead.
