      Predatory journals confuse the academic publishing scene by pretending to be something they are not. For this reason, it is important to be able to recognise them and avoid them in your research work. 


       At the end of this lesson, you will: 

      • Understand what predatory journals are 
      • Be familiar with the risks predatory journals pose to the research community 
      • Be familiar with checklists and green lists you can use to identify quality journals
