• Open Education is an umbrella term under which different understandings of Open Education can be accommodated. It goes beyond Open Educational Resources and other open research outputs to embrace strategic decisions, teaching methods, collaboration between individuals and institutions, recognition of non-formal learning and different ways of delivering content.

      • After completing this Open Education lesson, you will
        • recognise the benefits of Open Education
        • be able to find, evaluate and utilise Open Educational Resources
        • be able to define and describe how pedagogical solutions can be used to open your education.

    • It is recommended that organisations award an open learning badge to the participant or other recognition of competence if the Open Education MOOC is used, for example, as personnel training.
